We were fortunate to find Franklin in '92 when we were looking for a home in Middle Tennessee. Our realtor was showing up places in other parts of Nashville, but we were not impressed. During the search someone mentioned Franklin and that it was a nice place to live. After seeing a couple of homes and driving through downtown, we knew this is where we needed to be. The rest is history. We have raised our family here, and unfortunately moved away once while our youngest was still in high school. It's not until you leave that you come to understand what you have. That was certainly the case with us. We were fortunate to be able to return and move back into our old neighborhood.
Living in Fieldstone Farms is certainly not one of the county's best kept secrets. While other beautiful PUD's have gone up, I can't think of one that has the amenities we have. Such amenities include: wonderful views, a fantastic Publix, immediate access to some of the best bike riding roads in the county, and of course, easy access to downtown and Cool Springs. I would never consider neighbors as amenities, but certainly the quality, friendliness and character of our neighbors is a key factor that keeps us here. One neighbor in particular has added to the uniqueness of life in Fieldstone Farms. At night the lights of the Cal Turner estate a top one of our surrounding hills serves as a reminder that we chose well. Not that we needed that assurance....Cal Turner chose well when he picked our neighborhood. Such was the case with Carrie Underwood who, until recently, enjoyed living in our community. We are proud of our community and the sense of belonging we have in Franklin, Tennessee. Our leaders have done well to keep our quality of life on a par with the other top communities in the United States.
